I.C.U.2 TV, New Technology, and How To Livestream WENATCHEE NAZARENE

When I was a little kid growing up on the wet side of the state, I had a favorite TV show.    It was a huge hit with children across Puget Sound.  Some of you who are my age and from the west side already know what I am going to say.

JP PATCHES!

Patches was a clown who lived at the city dump.  One of my favorite recurring bits took place in front of his famous I.C.U.2 TV.  With this magical device he could see all of us in our homes watching him.

I cannot tell you how many times since the start of COVID I have wished I had an I.C.U.2 TV.  I miss seeing you face to face each week.  I do believe that this pandemic will slow in coming months and we will be able to see each other in-person and return to a sense of normalcy. Until then, and particularly during this virus surge, we will continue to livestream.  We will still be having in-person services while practicing protocols.  But we know many who are high risk, or test positive for the virus, will wisely choose to watch from home.  We are blessed to be able to have this kind of technology.

NEW STREAMING TECHNOLOGY

We have transitioned to a new streaming service which will greatly improve access.  Each week our service will be live online at 9:15am (there may be a brief delay due to streaming).  The service will be archived on the church website later.  Our livestream can be accessed at four locations:
  • YouTube (search: Wenatchee Church of the Nazarene)
  • Facebook (search: Wenatchee Nazarene Church Family)
  • Our website – www.wnchurchfamily.org
  • Our new APP

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE APP

Our new, free APP can function as a sort of “church away from church”. On the APP you can:
  • Video stream live services
  • Watch past sermons
  • Access our church calendar
  • Learn about and communicate with various church ministries and their leaders
  • Make donations (both with bank draft and credit/debit cards)
  • Contact the church office

If you are an iPhone user, you will find the APP at the Apple Store.
If you have an Android Phone you will find the APP at Google Play.
Search: Wenatchee Nazarene

It is particularly important to me that everyone have the best access to the church during these challenging times.  I believe technology can be extremely useful.  If you have any questions about, or challenges with the technology, please reach out to me!
